“Meaningful change happens through the relationship.”

Background

Two decades of
therapeutic work

Over the years, I have worked extensively with adults, adolescents, and families navigating trauma, anxiety, grief, identity, addiction, and life transitions.

My experience spans private practice, work with children and adolescents across a range of organisational settings, educational settings, and professional governance, giving me a broad and grounded perspective that I bring into all areas of my work.

My Approach

Integrative,
relational, and
responsive

My approach is integrative, meaning I draw from a range of therapeutic models depending on the needs of the person in front of me. This allows me to work in a way that is flexible, relational, and genuinely responsive, rather than fitting you into a single framework.

Whether the work involves processing trauma, navigating difficult life changes, understanding patterns, or finding practical ways forward, I adapt my approach to what is most useful for you at that particular time.

While much of my work is depth-oriented psychotherapy, I also recognise that some people are looking for a more active, change-focused process. In these cases, I integrate therapeutic insight with coaching-informed support to help create clarity, momentum, and meaningful action.

Relational depth

The therapeutic relationship is central to my work. Feeling genuinely heard and understood is itself part of the process of change.

Practical support

Alongside insight and reflection, I help people identify practical steps, patterns, and new ways of approaching what is difficult.

Flexible & tailored

No two people are the same. I adapt how I work to the needs, pace, and goals of each individual I sit with.

Young People

Working with
adolescents

I am a qualified Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist with many years of experience supporting young people through emotional, developmental, and relational challenges.

My work with adolescents often involves anxiety, self-esteem, identity, family difficulties, trauma, and the complexities of growing up in an increasingly demanding world. I work to create a space where young people feel respected, heard, and safe, on their own terms.

I also offer parent consultations, both as part of the initial assessment process and as ongoing support where appropriate, helping parents navigate their teenager’s emotional and behavioural needs with greater understanding and confidence.

At present, I am working with young people aged 12 and above.

Clinical Supervision

A space for
professional reflection

I provide Clinical Supervision for therapists and allied healthcare professionals, offering a reflective space to explore client work, professional challenges, ethical considerations, and personal process within practice.

Supervision is both a professional requirement and a genuine support, a place where practitioners can slow down, think clearly, and tend to their own wellbeing as practitioners.

Professional Governance

Shaping the
profession

Alongside private practice, I am actively involved in professional governance and the wider development of psychotherapy standards in Ireland.

I have also acted as a journalistic source for RTÉ, contributing insight on psychotherapy and young people. I have written opinion pieces for national newspapers including The Irish Times and the Irish Independent, and am available for consultancy work with professional bodies, educational institutions, and organisations.
